ABOUT
The JET COLLECTIVE is a recently formed group of professional Derbyshire jazz musicians who have come together to collaborate and explore musical opportunities outside our usual bands and create new musical suites & themes of material.
In addition, it is also the new artist-led network formed in the East Midlands to :
- Create performance opportunities to showcase new ideas
- Promote original contemporary jazz by artists, both from the area and from other collectives and networks around the UK
- To create collaborative workshop weekends (JETWorks) for artists to create new music and share ideas through performance and recording
- To establish JET rehearsal partners to allow varied rehearsal opportunities using different local musicians
- To develop a contemporary big band concept longer term
